Baldwin County | Mobile County Defense Attorney
John W. Cowling
The world in which we live has become more and more complex with new laws passed every day that affect your rights. This can have an effect on you and/or your family in many ways. We are all subject to federal, state and local laws every day, and they constantly impact our lives and how we can conduct ourselves. Even the most law abiding citizen can be arrested, be sued and will eventually need an attorney to represent them in some type of legal matter, whether you are charged with a crime and arrested, sued for some reason such as a car accident, or simply need legal help with something minor like doing a will. Mr. Cowling is well aware of the negative stereotypes of attorneys in the community and that people do not enjoy having to hire an attorney or be involved in the court system. With this in mind, Attorney Cowling conducts himself in a professional, honest manner so hopefully you will feel you have found an attorney that you can trust and respect to guide you through the legal process, whatever type of matter it may be.
John W. Cowling was born, raised and went to school his entire life in Alabama, attending high school at UMS Preparatory School in Mobile, then attending college at Spring Hill College and finally leaving for Tuscaloosa to attend law school at the University of Alabama School of Law where he graduated in 1989. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar Association, the Mobile County Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Mobile Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He started practicing with a small law firm and went into solo practice in 1993. He has two offices for his clients' convenience, one in Mobile at 2408 Government Street in the "Loop" area and one at 2119 East Relham Drive, a block off Highway 59 in Loxley, Alabama. Each has on site free parking for your convenience.
